Project Description
Birmingham Water Works Board planned a $19 million infrastructure improvement to provide backup and redundancy to the system. The Carson Loop project included the installation of 3,700 feet of 36-inch water main that spanned a 600-foot pipe bridge across the Cahaba River. The construction of an access roadway to the pipe bridge and other related site improvements were included in the project, as well. Serving as critical member of the construction team, Schoel completed boundary surveys, control surveys, and construction layout surveys for portions of the project.
