In early 2022 construction began on Grants Mill Road (County Road 143) from Grants Wood Road to Old Leeds Road. The project included the addition of two lanes and the re-alignment of the existing roadway. A roundabout was constructed at the intersection of Grants Mill Road and Old Leeds Road that replaced the traditional traffic light intersection. Our Construction Surveying Department’s was responsible for the layout during all the phases of construction of the project. This project was the final phase of Grants Mill Road widening to connect downtown Irondale to I-459 and will accommodate the traffic needs in this area for years.
