Red Mountain Park is a proposed 1,108 Acre park that stretched along 4.5 miles of Birmingham’s Red Mountain. The property was previously owned by U.S. Steel and was the site of the Wenonah and Ishkooda Ore Mines from the late 1800s until the 1970s. The park currently contains many nature trails, a dog park, and zip lines with plans to add more amenities in the near future.
