The Park at Sydney Drive is a 9.5 acre multi-family development featuring five apartment buildings, a community building, playgrounds, a picnic pavilion, and stormwater management facilities. Schoel’s environmental team assisted with Erosion and Sediment Control Design and facilitated the acquisition of all necessary permits from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). Throughout the construction phase, our team conducted regular erosion control inspections to verify implementation of Best Management Practices, evaluate effectiveness, and identify potential issues for timely remediation. Schoel also provided expert guidance in response to a Notice of Violation received during construction, which included development of a corrective action plan, collaborating with ADEM on solutions, and ensuring swift compliance with the NPDES Construction General Permit to avoid costly delays.
