Schoel completed the design and construction documents for this large regional pump station and force main for Athens Utilities that serves 5 developments. The project included 1000 LF of force main, two 35 HP variable frequency drive pumps, and a natural gas powered direct drive backup pump to dynamically engage with the three other pump stations connected to the system. Schoel performed surveying services for this site and managed easement acquisition between four stakeholders. In addition to designing the pump station hydraulics and site, Schoel completed site design for two of the five neighboring developments.
