Protective Stadium located in downtown Birmingham, AL, is a part of the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center Complex. It serves as home to the UAB Blazers football team, Birmingham Legion FC, the annual Birmingham Bowl, the AHSAA Football State Championships every three years, and much more. The World Games has chosen Protective Stadium to host their Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2022 Games.
