The Alabama Theatre is one of 25 finalists across the U.S. vying to receive grant funding through the Partners in Preservation: Main Street to install a replica of the original “Alabama” sign that was located along the stage entrance of the theater on 18^th Street North. To help them in the design & development of their second “Alabama” sign, Schoel Engineering recently performed a laser scan of the Alabama Theatre’s landmark sign to develop an As-Built drawing showing its exact shape & dimensions that will in turn be used in the creation of the new sign.  The Alabama Theatre is a historic landmark in the city of Birmingham & Schoel Engineering is extremely proud to have contributed to this project.
