Old Overton, designed by Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate, is one of Alabama’s best golf courses. The club opened in 1993 and was named one of the Best New Private Courses in 1994 by Golf Digest.

Schoel assisted with the planning of the course layout, assistance with grading design, design of lakes and ponds and golf course drainage, stormwater management and environmental permitting, design of water service and provision of irrigation water from nearby lake.
