Adjacent to Shades Creek, University Park, a mixed use development, is accessed by two bridges constructed as part of the project. The development consists of an office building, senior living facility, 48 patio home lots, and additional property for future development. Schoel coordinated with FEMA to revise the floodway location of Shades Creek. In addition, we studied the impact of the development on the floodplain and placement of two bridges to ensure compliance with FEMA regulations. Schoel’s involvement has continued with future phases that include site design, ADEM NPDES Construction Stormwater Permitting and Compliance Inspections.
